Video Production (Tenure-track, Assistant Professor)
The School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts at Central Michigan
University seeks a tenure-track assistant professor to direct its
award-winning video unit and teach intermediate and advanced video
production. The position begins August 17, 2009. Serving
27,000 students, Central Michigan University is an innovative doctoral
research institution recognized for strong undergraduate education and a
range of focused graduate programs and research.
Required: Ph.D. in telecommunications or related area with
emphasis in video production or M.A. in related area with extensive and
recent video production experience; demonstrated teaching effectiveness;
organizational background and willingness to supervise comprehensive
student video production unit.
Desired: Expertise in Avid and Final Cut Pro.
Responsibilities: Teach two courses in
intermediate/advanced video production per semester, direct student
video production unit, and engage in undergraduate academic advising.
