The program offers undergraduate majors in dietetics and food service administration and undergraduate minors in nutrition and food service administration.  Central Michigan University's Dietetic Internship and the Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics program are integral components of the Foods and Nutrition Program.

The Didactic Program in Dietetics is the second largest in the state of Michigan.  It offers students an outstanding educational experience in a supportive environment with relatively small class sizes, mediated classrooms, and individual attention from faculty.  Opportunities exist for service learning, community outreach, and sponsoring of undergraduate research projects.

The Foods and Nutrition program also houses Central Michigan University's Dietetic Internship.  The internship is a 30 week program which annually enrolls two classes of 10 interns each in partnership with several outstanding medical centers throughout Michigan.

A unique feature of the Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics is that all of the courses in the program are offered using distance learning technology.  This enables students to complete degree requirements without having to attend classes or conduct their research on the CMU campus.
